N-TV had a great update on the lacking of technical workers in Germany, and where things are going
The Bertelsmann Foundation has done a lot of studying over the issue. What you can generally say....the shortages differ state to state (in Germany), and in different fields.
For example....in the care and hospital industry....Bavaria is having a rougher time than most other German states.
The missing workers being mostly the type that would certifications/extended training? Yeah.
But this report goes to a particular issue....you don't need just plain 'open' immigration....you needed targeted immigration where you recruit people who already have the skills, and entice them to come to Germany.
Odds of some 'HR-like' agency being created to build some recruitment program for the nation? I'm likely to believe you will see this occur over the next four years.
