Two months ago, I would have reviewed the German stance on Covid and said that the last thing on Earth to be dragged back into the public arena...is another lockdown.
I noticed in my German state of Hessen....a town (Marburg) is now openly discussing now the idea of shutdown 'lite'....which goes along the line of forcing non-vax people to stay mostly at home. The idea that vax-people are also getting Covid? Well....they aren't the 'evil' ones....it's the non-vax doing all the bad stuff (you can grin with this argument).
How would one define lockdown/shutdown 'lite'? I spent ten minutes thinking over this, and mostly felt it sounded like something that Monty Python (the British comedy team) would have described in detail.
'Lite' usually doesn't make you happy.
'Lite' beer? Crap.
'Lite' menu option at McDonalds. Not appetizing.
'Lite' lifestyles? Usually leading to less-than-thrilling situations.
'Lite' candy bars? Usually meaning it's still got something bad in it for your nutritional situation.
I suspect all this discussion in Marburg will do....is identify the character of the city as 'lite' and if you were non-vax....you might want to drive beyond the city limits, and spend your money elsewhere.
