French Politics Over The Weekend

Eric Zemmour concreted his candidacy yesterday, and will be running in the first primary for President of France (10 Apr).

What you generally need to know about the guy?  On the general scale of politics.....he leans to the right, and talks a good bit about failed immigration.  Party?  Reconquest Party.

Standing right now?  Macron appears to be hold at the 25-perccent point among the dozen candidates running.....leading.  Zemmour is at the 14-percent point.

Other top candidates?  Of course, Le Pen is holding at 18-percent (considered further to the right)....with Valérie Pécresse pulling around 16-percent (deemed leaning right).

Odds right now?  I'd say it's pretty likely that Macron will get enough votes to be one of the final two in the 2nd primary.  It's a general toss-up if Zemmour, Le Pen, or Pécresse is the second competitor.
