You probably haven't heard of this Russian guy.....Dimity Glukhovsky. He wrote a book entitled Metro 2035.
The book? It's a science fiction type book, and centers on Russia after a future war. A lot of young Russians have read the book.
N-TV had an interview with him today.
He says that he expects an eventual collapse of Russia....into individual states....because of the fight over taking Putin's place (assuming that he has passed on).
He sees Russia as a 'dying colonial power'.
Among younger Russians? He has standing and they discuss his thoughts/ideas.
He has a point....in that several different groups exist and want the 'control' of what remains after Putin.
Me personally? I could see a dozen-odd states existing, and no clear authority because of the vacuum that a Putin death leaves.
