Wilhelm's street fest is going on (ends Saturday night).....with plenty of food an beverages.
So on pricing....pretty much a shocker....things were about 20 to 30 percent more than in 2019 (the last time the fest occurred).
There were also fewer venues and food cabins in the mix (probably one-third of what would have been there in previous years).
After we had walked through the event.....we went to the local pub that we would typically go to.....before Covid popped-up.
Business there? Crappy. The waitress attended to our beer, but admitted that the majority of town is now mostly dead by 10 PM (they still try to keep the pub open till midnight).
It is what they believe....a permanent effect for drinking folks in Wiesbaden.....get a beer or two, and head home between nine and ten.
