Some odd no-confidence vote came up on Frankfurt's mayor (Feldmann, SPD). This came via the coalition city government....roughly two-thirds of them said no-confidence.
Now? Apparently a full-up city council meeting will occur on 14 July, and opposition parties will then have a vote in the mess. Then.....this will go to a city-election where a minimum of 30-percent of the city 'must' show up and vote, with a majority saying 'fired'....to dump him.
The odds that less than 30-percent show? Well....that gets bounced around social media. Some people think a out-of-cycle election would draw limited interest....maybe even less than 20-percent of the public showing up.
Why or how Feldmann got to this point? He's one of those folks who makes odd statements that aren't thought out much. Originally, he got into trouble because of a city-job 'given' to his wife. Later, he made sexist statement that got some women all upset.
If you were looking for a quiet no-action guy.....he's not that type.
