The Trouble With Humiliation

I noticed off a NY Times piece.....President Macron (France) gave some pep talk over the Ukraine-Russian conflict, then said that the key to ending the situation was to create a path where Putin/Kremlin were not going to be 'humiliated'....you know, like ashamed or embarrassed.

I paused at this point....read the brief five or six lines.

There are three elements to the humiliation angle.

First, the three day operation has turned into a 101-plus day operation, and could possibly go even up to 200 days.  On the tank count (minimum of 500 tanks taken down).....if you do another hundred days....you can figure it's going to be close to a thousand Russian tanks disabled and left on the field.  On humiliation, it's a full '10' on my index of pretty stupid calculations.

Second, even with the lesser numbers used....the Russians have lost about 20,000 soldiers and even those surviving....aren't really happy over their marginal success.

Finally, the Nazis-everything angle to the invasion.....has turned into a joke.  Maybe half of Russian society believe the 'threat'.....the hundred-day operation is now having trouble convincing people that they can put down the evil Nazis.

Looking at Macron's statement....how in the world can you create a fake agenda....a fictitious 'win'....and a bogus 'victory'?  This would be like handing a movie script project to someone to write the epic of epic movies....over a zombie fiasco, that brings thing to a 'Gone With The Wind' ending, with zombie Clark Gable telling zombie Scarlet that he's gotta go.  You'd expect this to be serious, but the viewer would just be laughing over the phony ending.
