Curry Wurst and Fries Cost

 Yesterday, the wife and I were at a regional 'fest' around lunch, and I gave her a twenty-Euro bill to grab some 'grub'.

She returned with two plates of curry wurst and fries (pommes).  For those who aren't familiar with curry wurst....it's a German 'sausage' (usually 1)....cut up, and a thick bar-b-q type sauce over the top.  

Things went well....on a scale of one to ten...I would have rated the lunch around a '7' (I've had better).  

So last night....the topic came up....just how much the plate cost.  I didn't really think much about this....assuming it was around 6 Euro (that would have been the normal expected price).  

NO, it wasn't 6 Euro.  It was 8 Euro.....which is a highly inflated amount.  She went over the food options listed at the 'wagon', and virtually everything was 20 to 40 percent more than what you would have paid in 2019.  

By the time you consider the raw materials, the charcoal or gas to run the grill, etc....everything has gone up.
