Another Logistics Problem

I noticed this unique grocery problem brewing for Germany.

So, Focus brought this up.

Up in Rotterdam, there are three vessels out in a waiting pattern.  They were supposed to be there on x-day....to be processed, unloaded, and a new load put upon the vessels for the next port.

Well....they failed to reach the port on x-day.

They sit now....waiting for a brief opening.

Cargo?  It came from New Zealand....loaded with frozen lamb for Easter dinner situations across Europe.

What happens if delayed past this week?  They enter the port....get unloaded, and then get delivered to grocery stores but with limited sales potential.  In simple terms.....it's a loss for the stores and the middle-guy.

How many Germans eat lamb?  At best, my humble opinion is it might be a dish cooked up twice a year.  Maybe some ethnic non-Germans might do it three times a month, but the average German just isn't into lamb.

So all of this going for extreme discount....with zero profits for the grocery operations likely?  More or less..
