Natural Gas Crisis Affecting Summer Fun?

Well....HR (our Hessen public TV network) brought this up.

So, in most German outdoor pools....there is a mechanism to 'heat' the waters to some degree (run with natural gas).  So they'd be able to open the pools a month earlier than normal.

Expected water temperatures?  Some are saying 21 to 24 C will be the goal.  Not exactly cold, but not exactly warm either.

All of this leading to alternate methods in the future?  That's the idea....with solar panels being procured and installed.

Do Germans make their own Solar Panel? If they come from China, then good luck with that.

Chinese freighters dump off tons of panels every month. Within my village, I would bet that 10-percent of the houses have the panels up and operational....with every new house built having some type of solar addition.

After having been to a solar show and gotten the full talk....both my wife and I are skeptical on the cost factor, pay-back, and days of the year when you get full sun-days. I wouldn't invest 15,000 Euro into a minimum panel deal....where I only have 100 days of full sunshine, and another 100 days of partial sunshine.

However, if you want some heated pool water for the city pool, and natural gas is out....what's the alternate method? Cheap nuke power coming to rescue people?
