Germany and Covid-19: 10 Nov 2020

 1.  Total infected since day one: 687,200.  Total dead since day one: 11,506

2.  ARD (public TV, Channel One) reports that the German government has a program now....which basically is built for small independent business owners.  You can get 4,000 Euro....to hire someone who will tell you how to survive in the Covid-19 era.

Do small business owners really need this?  Well....most who've been around for a decade or less....have never been through a spiraling economic period.  Advice might be helpful.

3.  Newly infected in the past 24 hours?  18,419.  Deaths in the past 24 hours: 71.

4.  Locally (in my town of Wiesbaden), 63 ICU beds occupied, with 24 beds left in the 'wing' as open.

5.  RBB reports that Berlin-City is planning out the vaccination centers right now.  The fact that the vaccine is probably two months away?  Well....on the very first day that they have it....they intend to 'blast' away.  The people at the front of the line?  What is said right now....older folks, medical people, and public safety folks....will be in that group.

The idea that a sudden 'rush' will occur, and people start demanding their place in line by March?  It wouldn't surprise me.  Some type of prioritization list will have to be made up.  To stamp the first initial phase 'done'?  I would be betting on fall of 2021.
