The Berlin Anti-Corona Demonstration?

There are a dozen accounts of the day (Wed, 18 Nov)....but I'll reference RBB (public TV from Berlin) as the better account.  You can basically cite four facts:

1.  Approximately 7,000 demonstrators gathered in Berlin for a Wednesday demonstration against the authorities and the ban rule actions.  For a Wednesday situation....it's a pretty fair number.

2.  Water cannons were brought in (at least two of them) to disperse the crowd.  The crowd really only left the scene in late afternoon....so the cannon action simply pushed them from one area to another.

3.  Police detained 365 individuals.

4.  Discussion (viewer comments) on the RBB page reached a level where they could not maintain control, and they shut down commentary in the late afternoon (5:22 PM).  It's general practice that moderators approve or disapprove commentary on the public TV pages.  It simply reached a level where it was obvious that criticism was hyped-up.

These anti-ban-rule protests growing?  Here's the basic essential issue....the economy is spiraling at present, and as much as the federal governments thinks that it's got the program to 'save' business operations and jobs....it's marginally performing at the level required.

Toss onto the stack....bars and clubs are shutdown, and there's no basic fun-factor existing in all of these metropolitan areas.

Trust in the government?  I would suggest that a majority of the country are still trusting that the system is working as advertised.  This anti-ban-rule crowd?  It might only consume around 10-percent of the general public.

The one comical thing out of yesterday's water cannon use?  Well....one individual did point this out.....blasting people with cold water on a fairly cold day....probably would lead to pneumonia or serious illness.  The police action with the water cannons probably wasn't that helpful.

More to come?  To some degree, but it's not a national trend....it's mostly limited to metropolitan areas.
