If you gaze across at the Focus article this morning....covering this suggested meeting....there are seven basic ban rules being added:
1. Contact for the foreseeable future limited to your household members (family) and a max of two folks from another household.
If this were your sister, her husband, and three kids? Well....by this suggested idea....you'd have to eliminate three of the guests in some way. (Maybe ask them to sit in the basement until the meeting is finished).
2. Group celebrations of any type....deleted. Not in the house, the yard, the field, the woods, or in any park.
3. Kids are supposed to limit themselves to one 'special' friend for the foreseeable future. They don't mean just at school, but on the way home....in the yard....in the park, etc. We are talking about young kids, teenagers, etc.
It isn't explained in detail, and one has to wonder if you are supposed to report kids who violate this suggested ban rule. Obedience to this? ZERO. Teens will sit there and laugh over the idea. They'd throw the discussion item right back at the politicians and suggest that they only meet with one special friend as well.
4. Another ban suggestion is that if you like you have regular cold coming on (no Covid symptoms)....they want you to leave what you are doing, and take five to seven days of quarantine time for the regular cold. Logic behind this? None.
Maybe the idea is that they think that a lot of people are having mild symptoms of Covid, and it's disguised in some way as a cold.
This being winter....it means that 10-percent of society will be shut down on a ongoing basis....if this rule is accepted.
5. Social distancing on school buses....1.5 meters...is recommended.
I sat and thought about the buses from my village....regular city buses for adults and kid....from 7:10 AM to 7:35 (maybe four of the double-buses). They used to be cram-packed-full, with 80 kids onboard. How in the hell could you accomplish social distancing?
Of the suggested ban rules....this is the more stupid of them.
6. Free masks to weak or fragile-health Germans.
This is the suggestion where they would issue out 15 of these masks weekly. How would they be delivered? Unknown. How would you identify these people? Unknown. Who pays for this? Well....the government of course.
7. Federal mandate to open vaccine centers on 15 December....EVEN IF they DON'T have the vaccine in their hands. 401 of these centers....100 folks per center. The company involved in production of the vaccine? Currently they are talking the last week of December to the mid-January period for delivery to start up.
From this group of seven new ban ideas....they won't really anger too many folks (maybe the medical folks just sitting around and doing nothing for two to three weeks will irk some folks). But these start to get into amusing situations and kids starting to laugh over adults trying to control them.
Personally, I expect some nation-wide shut-down of schools by mid-December, and not opening back up until after vaccinations start up.
