Covid Chatter

Yesterday, I ventured into a Wiesbaden grocery operation.  Number of people masked-up?  Probably no more than 10-percent of the 150 people in the store.

The current 7-day infection rate....locally?  Around 315 per 100,000.....amazingly low.  If you go back four weeks ago?  It was three times this number.  No rhyme or reason for the lessening of the virus.

Total dead locally since day one?  494 out of 293,000 residents.

The four scenarios where you have to mask up?  Entering a clinic/hospital, entering a bus, entering a plane, and entering a old-folks home.  Those are the mandated places where masks are still required.

My wife had to meet with the car mechanic yesterday.  It was a drawn-out affair, so chatter over Covid came up.  He's four times vaxed-up....but had Covid twice.  As he says....business is chaotic for the repair shop....from the dozen-odd mechanics....about every two months, they have some guy out for a week or two, and the schedule gets screwed-up big-time for repairs.

Most everyone will agreeable....things are presently better, but Covid is still on their mind.
