I brought this up about two weeks ago.....the lost Scotsman in Hamburg story.
This 29-year old guy....Liam Colgan....came with a group for a bachelor party. Yeah.....a bunch of Scots....arriving in Hamburg. You could sense that something would go wrong.
What is generally said is that Liam had a few drinks....got separated from the group, and disappeared. There's at least four Germans who've seen the guy (about two or three days after the disappearance started). The perception is....he got drunk....fell...hit his head, and is just walking around with amnesia.
This morning, I read via the Scotsman newspaper (a good source of Scottish news) that the family thinks now....that Liam has moved on, and left Hamburg. He might be in regional villages....maybe even having taken a train to some distant location.
The commentary from the soon-to-be wife? She's avoided the news folks for the most part, and I think she's reached the stage of realizing this marriage probably won't occur.
Can a guy disappear like this? There are literally thousands of homeless guys in Germany....living under bridges and surviving off the street via soup-kitchens, etc. Yeah, this guy could be around for a whole decade and just accidentally remember something one day to resolve the whole thing.
