Per liter, and just over my observations of the past week:
- At the very least, you can still occasionally find E10 fuel at 1.63 Euro (per liter).
For reference, 3.78 liters make one gallon (so at 1.63, you are paying 6.16 Euro per gallon, or in US dollars, around $7.35 per gallon).
- At the very most, E10 at autobahn stations can still be in the 1.85 Euro range. At regular stations, it peaks normally around 1.78 Euro per liter (in US viewing, it's over $8 a gallon).
Higher up since summer of 2020? Yes, but this is primarily to a lot of Germans just not driving much and a over-supply of fuel existing then.
I should also say....roughly 75-percent of the fuel cost relates to taxation. There's a sticker on every pump to indicate the precise amount of the taxation, and fuel companies want you to know....it's not their fault.
