ARD (public TV, Channel One) did a short report over the BamF scandal from Bremen (a hot topic these days, and I've essayed it a number of times).
Well....the Bremen prosecutor who started this investigation (probably over a year ago)....is now in a bit of difficulty.
Most everything that he reacted upon....was based on 'hearsay'.
Research by two German news media groups (SZ and NDR).....leads to witness statements that could not be confirmed and a journalist.
So now the question comes up if there was ever enough facts to justify the home searches that were over the accused.
Will any case go forward with evidence which the judge might throw out? I'm guessing that about half of the prosecutor episode is now screwed up and will be dissolved or removed.
The odds that we may reach to 2020, and no convictions occur? It's better than a 50-50 shot right now. It would be amazing if in 2028....we go to historical analysis of the episode and find that no one ever got into any legal trouble or spent time in jail.
