My Gut Feeling Over the Nord Stream I/II Pipelines Blown

First, there is no factual evidence tying anyone to it.  Yeah, the Swedes and Danes did see Russian freighters and naval vessels around (including subs), but not enough to pin it on anyone in court.

Second, it would worry me if this was 'signed-off' by Putin himself.....seeing how things are going.  I'm more likely to believe some circle of associates in the Kremlin went to this as a plan 'B'.

Third, this could be a 'game' by the outer most group of Oligarch folks against the inner-most group of Oligarch folks....thus not involving Putin at all.

Fourth, there won't be any more Russia-Germany deals for the foreseeable future (future minimum of a decade).

Finally, some folks in Germany think that the real target today of Russia.....is not the Ukraine....it's twisted around and is in all probability Germany.  I've heard this discussion a time or two this week, and would at least consider it a valid discussion.

My own opinion is that both pipelines going boom at almost the same time is the result of preventive maintenance gone sideways. My assumption is that both pipelines had natural gas in them, the gas wasn’t being sent along (because the Russians cut off supply) and between water pressure and Russian maintenance practices, the stored natural gas hit a state where it was even more explosive than usual. Then someone from the Russian side ran a preventive maintenance cycle on both pipelines, it went wrong and BOOM.

One issue is that the 1st and 2nd explosions (if they were such) are 15 hours apart. That's one part to the story.

Presently, the distance between the two blown areas is around 40 nm. Another odd part...Danes talk about a 3rd and 4th 'blow-up'. Since no one has gone down yet....could be anyone's guess on what that means.

I've heard one suggestion that GAZPROM might have some insurance for occasions like this, and that it'd pay off the damage (figure minimum of $100-million to fix it). Now, they might receive the money, and send it to Chinese banks and just walk away with the cash (I admit it'd be awful bold of the management).

Germans were willing to keep buying off #1, and no issue about it's operation. Number #2 was the no-go.

Probably will be massively investigated. If I were the culprit...I would have a timer set, and made sure I was out of the area for at least a week before the episode.
