There's a story which N-TV (German commercial news) brought up today, which might be interesting to see how it unfolds.
The Russian Duma has sent word to the head of the Russian military (Shogui) to come and be asked some questions on Monday.
First, generally....Shogui never reports to the Duma....only to Putin himself.
Second, the line of questions will go to what is the intended 'end-point', which I don't think Shogui can answer.
Will the meeting take place? I doubt it. I think Putin will send signals that this is not to happen, and Shogui only reports to him....not the Duma.
If Shoigui does show up? He probably will say that the operation ends when the Ukraine surrenders.
Monday might be a dud....or it might be the most interesting day of the conflict.
