WELT did a piece this afternoon on a poll....regarding the feeling of Germans to accept the willing nature to heat less and take less showers/cooler showers. Seven of ten Germans said they would do it in this case, to show solidarity with Ukraine, against Russia.
If you had brought this up a decade ago.....I would been in disbelief of a majority feeling this way.
Will they feel this way in January (the middle of winter)? That's probably going to lean another way.
I think the majority of Germans would comment on the nature of Putin at this point....saying you can't trust the guy.
Germans now likely to heat at a lesser level? It wouldn't shock me if most Germans cut their home temperature down to 16 C (61 F) with the natural gas heat, and used a electric heater for three to five hours a day....to 'bump' up the heat when they were in the house.
