For those in Germany looking for a 'deal'......consider the software APP....'Too Good To Go'. You can download the program from Google-play.
What it does is connect to German bakeries and offers a deal approximately an hour prior to closing where you buy a bag of bakery goods (never knowing what might be there) for 3.5 to 5 Euro, but it's generally promised to be around 7 to 10 Euro of normal bakery goods.
It's done to make some use of what's left at the end of the day.
The thing I like about the program.....you pick your map area, and you can make a reservation (even a day ahead of time)....for items to pick up in the final hour of operation of the cafe or bakery.
