Soccer Chatter

In my local region....the big name soccer club is Eintracht Frankfurt.

HR, our public TV network from Hessen, had a brief chat over Covid-19 and the financial outlook for the team.

If the ghost games (no fans allowed in the stadium) continue for the whole season?  The loss is currently figured at around 50 to 70 million Euro.

Economic woes, if this trend continues to the end of the season (summer 2021)?  They don't say much but you have to figure almost all of the 1st league is under the same dismal condition.

Help from the state or federal government?  Maybe they'd do a loan deal but I doubt if there is any real interest to just 'give' a grant to the teams.  Players willing to accept marginal pay for a season?  Maybe, it'd have to return to normal within a year.....to which I would ask....how would this occur?
