I went to a Christmas musical in Wiesbaden last night. It was staged in the Casino 'big hall'....which can hold around 800 people.
Masked-up? I'd say of the 700 people in the hall (yes, there were empty seats)....maybe forty people wearing masks. Otherwise, the massive bulk of the attendees wore no mask for the 90-minute performance.
Afterwards, I went to the Christmas market area. I'd take a guess that around 4,000 people were walking around the square. Masked-up? Probably in the 5-to-8 percent of the group.
Prior to the musical and market walk.....my wife and I ate at the local German restaurant. No demand to see a vax digital slip, or funny seating arrangement. It was pretty much as things were in 2019.
Covid worry era over? Yeah, I'd say the majority of Germans have moved on.
