If you go and glean from the ten-odd news groups in Germany.....the plot came down to four 'pieces':
1. Some 'royal' left over from 1918....for at least five years....had been giving speeches and advocating for a 'coup-like' situation to occur. There were probably 25 people in the plot stage, depending on who you get the news from.
Guy in this 'royal' situation....Henry XIII or Heinrich Reuss.
From this guy down.....there was to be some AfD political player.....female.....who would serve as a 'judge'. Then the rest of this enterprise would be military individuals to control the general public, until order was restored.
Yeah, on a 1-to-10 scale for a decent plan.....I'd give it a minus-5. It was a pretty comical plan.
2. The members of this group had 'arms' (weapons), and ammo/explosives. Amount? Not really discussed by the police.
3. Somewhere in this plan....members of the group would have some limited support of the Bundeswehr (German Army) and this would lead to general ability to control the government.
On realistic aims here.....1-to-10 scale....again, I give it a minus-5.
4. So, oddly enough.....pieces of this raid came into the display of German news media folks (N-TV for example) at least two weeks prior to the raid.
How? Unknown. The Linke Party folks are asking how this classified raid got into the media so early.
First attempt since 1945 to overtake the government? I would argue 'yes'. However, if you really wanted a four-star attempt....I'd go back to November 1918 and Bavaria. For about four months....the state government of Bavaria was under a great deal of stress, and there's probably a couple hundred folks killed in street-to-street fighting in that period of time.....with the city gov't of Munich flipping at least three times.
Serious jail-time? I would imagine the court case won't even start until the summer of 2024, and it'll require at least 18 months. From the top five folks (including the 'Prince').....I don't think any of them will ever be released from jail.
