1. The head of the German soccer league....Oliver Bierhoff....resigned his position last night. Criticism over the national team was mounting, and how they left the World Cup action early. I suspect there will be two or three others that leave.
2. From this murder in Illerkirchberg involving the asylum guy that I talked about yesterday....that actually wasn't the first such criminal episode in the small town. Back in 2019, a four-man group raped a local 14-year old on Halloween night. All were convicted and sent off to prison.
3. WELT had an interesting piece this AM by a German law professor....talking over the fact that Germans have a right to remove climate-adhesive protesters from roadways...in terms of 'self-protection'.
