Well....if you cut out 90-percent of the BS....a small contingent (from video, I'd say no more than 5 people) of 'Last Generation' activists....showed up....cut the fence, and glued themselves to a ramp area. Because of ongoing operations.....various planes (probably not more than three or four) had a delay pattern established.
Somewhere in this delay....was a emergency patient onboard a plane, with required a divert.....20 minutes later than planned. This was a 80-year old person....having chest pains. Later, confirmed as not a heart attack.
Where it diverted? Well....to the alternate runway.....so basically it was a pass, and 2nd planned landing.
All of this getting hyped-up chatter today by airport security folks, and the Bavarian government? Yeah, and it would appear....some type of court action will occur, where the group members involved....end up in jail until their court date (probably 3 to 4 months in the future) occurs.
This getting to the next level of 'suffering' for the activists? Yeah. Cutting the fence, triggering a security situation, and then messing around with the landing pattern.....just won't be something overlooked. The fact that some old person was in some medical emergency? That will fit into the seriousness of the crime as well.
Wouldn't shock me if the Bavarians make up a new law about flight interruptions, and getting you five years of prison.
This whole strategy of screwing around on autobahns and airports....doesn't win you public support. I'm not sure about who is advising these folks, but I doubt that they grasp long-term jail-time (5 years) is likely to occur for future episodes.
