This came up today via a piece on Focus. So the discussion is....in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Interior Minister for the state is openly discussing the matter on how to handle uncooperative people.
His suggestion? If you won't go and quarantine yourself in your apartment or house? He is suggesting having some team (unknown who would do this) and forcibly take you to a facility (I assume a jail-like place), and hold you for the two-week period. 'Enclosed hospital' was the term used by the guy.
The police wanting the job? I would question that....but when it comes to taking people by force....those are about the only ones capable of handling this.
If the infection rate escalates (say 50k a day)? I pondered this type of scenario with the high numbers. In a state with 8-million residents, the police might be handed orders on 90 people who are uncooperative...on a daily basis. You'd be talking about six police minimum....to handle the guy. But do you have 45 teams ready to go....each morning....hunting the 'bad-boys'?
If he's not there.....in the apartment? Well....that's another problem....how far would you go hunt some Covid-'walker'?
Then you get around to wondering about the hold-facilities.....could you build one for Baden-Wurttemberg to hold 300 people? Would that even be big enough?
You just get this feeling that a whole bunch of crazy things are going to happen in the December to spring period, and police will be running around to hunt down Corona 'crazy' folks.
