For months, dance halls and discos around Hessen (my regional state) have been waiting for a 'greenlight' to reopen. Today, the state political folks met and gave a somewhat 'greenlight'. So to the details.
You can open your disco or dance hall, with drinks served, and observe local curfew (closing hours). Music may be played. However, NO DANCING is allowed.
Yes, dancing is forbidden. You can socialize , chat over nuclear physics, make small-talk over lusty women you observe, gossip over Covid ban rules, babble about Beatles tunes, and even converse about the odds of aliens. But you can't dance in the middle of a disco.
How will the managers of these operations react? Probably just shaking their heads and wondering how many people would show up to just drink, listen to dance music, but not dance?
As for cops coming around to audit your disco.....to make sure no one dances? I would imagine some schedule will exist and some police crew will walk through every single evening....to spot the 'evil' dancers.
