Kassel Going to Hot-Zone Status

The third largest city in Hessen, my local state of Germany, is Kassel (roughly 200k residents).

This afternoon, the public TV news folks announced that in a rather quick fashion....Kassel moved up on the Covid-19 infection rate, and reached a serious level on the Covid infection rate, per 100,000....their rate was 92.

So by the ban rules....they went to a hot-zone status.

How this happen overnight?  Well...some issue came up at the Kassel refugee center last week, and doctors finally decided to test all individuals (near 300) who lived there.  111 tested positive on Friday.

One can talk about the close proximity that you are forced into with the refugee centers and how sanitation may not be at the rate necessary....but none of that matters at this point.  They quarantined everyone in the center for the time being.

The rest of the city?  All of the normal ban rules for a hot-zone are now enforced, with bars closing early and more emphasis on social distancing.
