I live in the shadow of Wiesbaden, which has been able to generally avoid serious numbers on the Covid-19 business....at least until yesterday.
Local authorities admitted that the city came pretty close yesterday to being declared a 'hot-zone'....meaning they had a new daily infection rate of 50 or more, per 100,000 residents. The number was 49.5.
The odds of going over the 50-level by Monday? Betting odds are probably a 75-percent.
At that point, you get all these extra rules, and folks start getting real peppy. Curfew hours start up for bars, pubs and restaurants. This weekend might be the last weekend for a month or so....where local nightclubs are open till 2 or 3 AM. It'll hype folks up a notch.
