Another Police Study

Lower Saxony (the German state between Hamburg and the Netherlands) has announced today (Monday) that it will conduct a study of police in the state, and their right-wing tendencies.

N-TV carried the basic story and is worth a read.

So what is suggested here is that 'scientists' (not really known or understood how they refer to them)....with police officials....will conduct the 'quick' study.  No one can explain how 'quick' fits into this....one can assume it'll take a minimum of six months to conduct, and probably two months of writing/drafting to reach some conclusion (say mid-2021).

Where will this lead?  One might suggest three things:

1.  The 'scientists' will ask for social media information, and the police union/members will refuse to provide the data.  So, they'd have to go over to the BND and secretly 'watch' chat areas, Twitter, etc....trying to figure out who are police and who are non-Germans.  With this....one has to wonder if they have judges ready to sign off on the 'watch-lists'.

2.  Then you come to the question...among the criminal elements of Lower Saxony....have the clan-crime gangs and left-wing folks triggered police members to be negative about their accomplishments?

3.  Finally, at the end of this study....if you develop the cut-off and suggest that 20-percent of the police need to be dismissed, then what?  Would you even be able to recruit enough people to fill the slots?  If you spell out right-wing behavior, and scare off half of the normal recruits....then what strategy do you use to fill the shortfalls?

October 2022 is the next state election in Lower Saxony, and one might suggest that this report will turn into a major problem or priority for the state election.
