We are about six months away from the state election in Baden-Wurttemberg (scheduled for March 2021).
Current trend on polling?
It's around a 30-30 percent deal on Greens and the CDU, with no other party near them. At best, the AfD and SPD parties will be in the 12-to-14 percent range....if the trends stay at the current position.
What this means for the position of Premier-President (Governor) of the state? Winfried Kretschmann of the Green Party will likely retain his position (if the Greens win). The fact that he's 72 years old? Well....he has a great deal of appeal with Green voters in the state, and he's more of a moderate-Green, with a view that jobs and security are part of what the party must deliver upon.
My advice....don't go and expect much drama in B-W over this election.
