New Frankfurt Covid Rule

The city council of Frankfurt whipped it up yesterday.....restaurants and pubs....to be closed by 10 PM.....to prevent further Corona spread.

Reaction?  On the side of cafes, pubs and restaurants?  Massive amount of hostility.  There is talk of a legal action against the city.

As for the amount of 'damage' done?  No one suggests the amount of business that would occur before or after 10 PM.  If I were going to take an educated guess....at the successful places (with high traffic volume)....maybe 40-percent of the weekly take is from the after-10 PM situation.

Is there any scientific or factual data to say less Covid-19 if you closed earlier?  No, that's the amusing part of the discussion.  It's simply a belief that earlier closures....equal less infection.  It would help if the Covid-App on smart-phones were matched up with data to show infections occurred mostly after 11 PM at night....but they don't even want to share that type of data to prove their point.

How long will this go?  A lot depends on Offenbach's (the eastern suburb of Frankfurt) situation going from a hot-zone, to a regular Covid-19 number.  It might take two months.

What will folks do in relation to the 10 PM rule?  I'm guessing a number enterprising Turks will figure out booze-on-wheels schemes, and just sell beer and cocktails off the street.
