'3G' Virus Rule Chatter

Focus picked the new Covid ban-rule deal (commonly referred to as '3G').  So it's worth a moment talk over evidence of how 3G has played out in France, Italy and Austria where it's currently underway.

What 3G typically means?  You don't get into the interior of a hotel, pub, bar, disco, soccer stadium, restaurant, disco, fitness center....without evidence that you were vaccinated, tested in the past 24 hours, or show recovery status (that you had it, and got over it).

So to the results of France, Italy and Austria.

Italy: Various demonstrations have occurred, and continue to kept the police busy.  What pubs and restaurants report is a 25-percent decline in business.

France: Various demonstrations continue, and terms like 'Nazis' have been uttered at the police as they attempt to control the crowds.  Armed police now patrol cafe/pub districts....asking for the 'pass' of visitors.  The empty restaurant/pub syndrome repeats here as well.

Austria:  As a minimum, tourist sites are now half-full, and likely showing some decline on profits.  Nothing is mentioned on pubs/bars/restaurants yet.

Once you (as a community) go over the 35 rate of infection (per 100,000)....the 3G will go into effect.  You can still do the no-cost test locally until 11 October, but after that point, you will pay for the test yourself (generally, it's expected to decline from the 18-Euro presently per test...probably going to 10-to-12 Euro).

Decline in German customers at pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants by 11 October?  I might go and suggest the 25-percent decline to occur by mid-October.  But I'd also go and suggest that the rate of infection will exceed 100 by mid-October as well....in most urbanized communities....with the split pretty evenly divided among vaccinated and non-vaccinated folks.  Yes, the vaccinated folks will be utterly shocked that they didn't get the special deal they expected (protection).

So the logical question to ask yourself....what would it take to bring back the 9 PM curfew business, and just how many politicians have the willpower to accept that as part of their 'master-plan'?

Once you introduce curfew....pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants will go into shutdown status for the most part (open for pick-up, or for drinks outside of the facility) and they are forced to accept a harsh cut in their profits and tax-revenue situation.

Me?  I'm a harsh critic of curfew gimmicks....but I could understand....to get the numbers back to where you want them, either you invent a whole new infection rate model (to get a lesser number), or you repeat the past success of curfew.
