Back a couple of weeks ago....Iceland stood up and announced major success with the Covid vaccination business (late July/early August, they were saying 85-percent of the island was fully vaccinated). Everything had gone to the 'success' stage. Herd immunity had be achieved.
So in the past week, if you go and read through a Focus article from the weekend....there's some chaos brewing in Iceland. The 14-day incidence rate (per 100,000) is at 433 (it's actually almost double where it was back at the peak of 2020).
The herd chatter? Gone.
The one odd story going on? Well....the bulk of the folks who are sick....are vaccinated people. Some suggestion has come up that vaccinated get the virus, and now more easily pass the virus onto the next guy. I would question this logic.
