It's serious chatter, and it's amusing chatter.
Two nights ago, the chief news hype was climate change. Focus brought up this incident.
ZDF (Channel Two, public German TV) had a news interview, and brought on a climate change expert. The question came around to coal-fired plants. So the shocker here....the pro-climate change expert then hyped-up the idea that it would be best if Germany and the developed countries would take their 'clean-energy' capability with coal plants, and help the third world adapt to new coal plants, with 'clean-energy' capability.
In simple terms, the world would be better, and it'd help delay climate change.
Well....via social media, this suggestion of more coal plants in the world freaked out Germans left and right.
Here was a pro-climate change guy, and he was obviously making a pretty even-handed suggestion....that we just need clean air and the technology already existed. We just need to give away the knowledge.
The pro-climate change crowd sitting at home didn't buy that logic. 'Bad' energy is bad energy.....you shouldn't talk of such things.
I would imagine if he'd suggest an even cleaner energy situation.....like nuke-energy, that would have also blown the situation into a bigger mess.
