Three Interesting Facts on the German Natural / Nuke Power Stuff

I picked up a Focus article this morning, and there's 3 facts worth knowing:

1.  Presently, there are only major countries that get into the natural gas (to LNG) shipping business.....US, Canada, Qatar and Australia.  Two countries are in the process of adding storage and terminals (Trinidad/Tobago and Nigeria).

Looking at vessel time/speed?  Nigeria to Hamburg: 21 days.  Trinidad: 22 days.  Qatar: 31 days. US/Canada: 11 days.

2.  None of the new construction of a natural gas/hydrogen port stuff will be done until 2026....meaning four winters that you have to worry about the Russians mentality.

3.  This idea of running the nuclear power plants longer (they were to all shut down in Germany by the end of 2022)?  Well....NO, they can't run longer than two additional quarters.  They don't have adequate 'rods' to run more than two extra quarters....say into the summer of 2023.

I would say this....there's this strong chance the next four years are going to be a long difficult period for Germans.  The interesting thing is that Nigeria could make a ton of money if they could find the transport vessels to deliver.
