Well....MDR (public TV from eastern Germany) did an update today.
What's being said by police and public prosecutor? They are investigating thing. Basic story? This singer was checking into a Leipzig hotel....something was said by the hotel clerk....noting the 'Star of David' on this singer.....as being something that you might not want to wear around in public in Leipzig. This set the singer off.....getting on social media.
Since the original account came out.....the hotel clerk (accused at this point) has filed their own charges of defamation and threats made against them. It would appear that the account is "significantly different from the artist's omissions."
An official police complaint by the singer? Well....as of mid-day today (Wed)....it had not been turned in.
Odd? Well....whole city is pepped-up and all angry about the suggestion of anti-Jew behavior. How this clerk meant the 'warning'? I suspect he tried to suggest that minor groups in the city would view the Star of David in a negative way.

He was trying to check in but was skipped three times by the staff checking other guests in that arrived after him. When he asked the front desk staff why he was being skipped he was told that if he wanted to check in that he would have to cover up his Star of David necklace. The front desk staff most likely was not German but muslims. Even the former DDR has gone down the toilet at this point.
They've avoided (hotel folks) saying ethnic background of the clerk. May/may not be true. One odd aspect, no direct witnesses. Guess there is camera footage of the front desk but probably no sound.
