Cult Members Never Go Back

Out of my 1,000-odd fascinations in life....I've had this general fascination with cults, cult-leaders, and people who depart cults.

While some might be amused....I see most of this Kremlin-Putin business being cult-like in nature.

So the conversation comes up....if you were Ukrainian in nature and had 'escaped' the USSR-cult back on 24 August 1991.....you probably would be like the Scientology folks who escape.  You'd have zero desire to have come back under the cult influence again.

Putin's Kremlin cult-group not grasping that?  Usually....you are too attached to the cult to use common sense or logic.

Cults survive off three key features: (1) the top 'dog' survives on, (2) cult finances stay on the plus-side, and (3) cult members don't realize that the cult is spiraling out of control.  If any of these are threatened....your cult usually doesn't survive long-term.

Trying to talk or drag a former cult guy back into the cult?  It just doesn't happen.  I see Ukraine in the same landscape....why would you want orders and regulation from Moscow?  It didn't bring you much prior to August of 1991.

On this topic alone, I think the Kremlin folks have designed a doomed plan and never discussed the idea of failure.
