1. The US State Department has told Americans in Russia to depart. They can't recommend safety at this point. How many Americans in Russia? Unknown.
2. ARD/ZDF (public TV in Germany) have told their reporters to depart Russia. Too much risk of arrests.
3. Finland and Sweden...non-members of NATO are discussing joint military matters.
4. S&P dumping the Belarus credit situation? Just above bankruptcy status.
5. Several thousand Russians have fled Russia via a railway link to Finland over the past couple of days. Not a lot reasons given, and the Finns are not openly discussing the matter.
6. There's a Russian diplomatic flight given permission to come to the US....appears more likely that they are picking up staff members in US, and returning them to Moscow.
7. In a speech today, Putin said sanctions are a declaration of war.
8. As of Tuesday.....all Aeroflot flights are halted internationally. If you aren't aboard flights prior to that....you are stuck.
