It's been around two months since the German Coronavirus App came out, and was downloaded by a fair number of Germans for their Smart-phone.
So they (IFA Technology Fair) went out and did a survey of Germans.
What they say is that around 33-percent of Germans don't think their 'data' is adequately protected. Even with the blessing of the government, and various data protection experts looking over the software....one-third of society still isn't buying off on the data protection angle.
On top of that....52-percent of folks surveyed....said 'no'.....they weren't interested in downloading or carrying the Covid-19 App.
A problem? Well....I would suggest that a fair number of Germans are fairly skeptical about a lot of things these days, and the Covid-19 App is just one of many things which aren't easily explained or sold.
An age thing? That wasn't discussed, but I would imagine that the younger crowd is probably more skeptical than the older crowd.
More effort to come and 'sell' the product (which is already free of charge) to the public? Maybe.
