'Saving the World' TV Series

At some point earlier in 2021....Vox-TV (a commercial TV network in Germany) went to this idea for a 8-episode TV series.....basically a German-version of Greta Thunberg, with the title of the show: "Mirella Schulze Saves the World".

This week, they ran all eight episodes (roughly 22 minutes each) on one single night. It actually went to almost midnight.

I sat and watched around a dozen minutes of one of the episodes.  I'd describe it as a marginal attempt to produce a 'dramady'.   It packaged various catastrophic events and doomsday activities....into a fairly simple script.  My problem?  I could not decide if this was a series for 8-year old kids.....teenage wannabe Gretas....or just plain adult humor but in a German style.

The odds that there will be a second season?  I just kinda doubt it.

The true sales pitch of the series?  Some German kid wanting to save the world, and continually discovering that the world might be able to save itself, without much help.
