1. It was an odd 'show' this AM. Chancellor Scholz went from Berlin over to Mulheim (just west of Essen) to tour the building where the renovated natural gas turbine is being storied.
Yeah, plenty of video to show him walking in and admiring the system. Then he remarked....there's nothing left for GAZPROM to hold back from accepting it and putting it into place to pump natural gas from Russia to Germany.
No one said much over how he got there, but I would suspect he flew by helicopter over, and then took a limo to the site. Was it necessary to plan out four hours for this whole trip? Maybe.
2. New network operating in Germany? More or less. It's Amazon (without the prime). Cost? Nothing.
The catch? Commercials.
It's called Freeve.
My view? Mostly older movies and older TV shows (stuff from before 2016), but for some folks....it might be welcome offering. I did notice that Peaky Blinders (from the UK) is offered and that's a 4-star series.
3. That Russian guy held in a German prison who was mentioned as 'trade-bait' for the American female basketball player in Russia? ZERO action.....Germans said no way that they'd trade to get him back into Russia.
Actually, I admire the nature of this.....they convicted the guy, and he probably will serve out his life sentence.
