Focus did a Sunday poll question over the political campaign, and results came out in the last day or so.
For their results, the CDU/CSU campaign is spiraling downward. They currently show 24-percent (with this poll results)....barely two points ahead of the Green Party (at 22-percent).
The SPD still sit at third-place, at 18-percent. The FDP comes up forth at 13-percent.
AfD at 11-percent, and the Linke Party at 6-percent.
As far as I know....this is the only poll to show the CDU-CSU at this lower level (most show them at 28-percent and the Greens at 19-percent).
Should Laschet (the CDU Chancellor candidate) worry? There's still seven weeks left in the campaign, and plenty of time to screw up more. If this ends up as a one-point win for the CDU and no one gets more than 25-percent.....it's a circus atmosphere to build a coalition government. I'd say the same if the Greens win by one-percent, and try to talk either the CDU or SPD into being a partner with their current list of 'promises'.
Is this poll a crapped-up deal? Well...that's probably the question to ask. If you view the top three generally accepted polls (INSA, Forsa, F-W) from the mid-July to 1 August period....they don't show this trend. I do agree....if the Greens had Habeck in the situation....they'd probably have three to four additional points, and seriously threatening the CDU's opportunity.
