Covid Emergecy Meeting

Early this AM, lot of chatter off Focus over the Saxony area (far east state of Germany, round Dresden).

ICU beds are now rapidly filling up (near 180 now, and they suspect it'll go to 400 in 2 weeks.

There's supposed to be a state meeting over the increases, and some measures taken.  No one says the term 'shutdown' yet.

On the national incidence trend rate?  149.4.

There's question now arising....if a great majority of Germans are vaccinated...why is the incidence rate rising and the death rate still a considerable problem?  This question comes up because the incidence rate didn't reach this level until early November 2020.

If you go and look for the daily death rate (2020 and 2021).....we are about at the same level as it was in late October 2020....no real change.
