1. This week in my local town of Wiesbaden...a store detective sat and watched this guy....come in with a cart....load up around 50-to-60 containers of cheap hair shampoo (figure 3.50 Euro type each).....then attempt to exit the store (stealing the shampoo). What he was going to do with the shampoo on the street? No idea.....probably just trading it for drugs.
2. This property tax business escalating quickly to a hot-priority? Oh yeah.
So my question.....for 30 years, you had German property, and the yearly property tax bill was in the 240 Euro range. So you suddenly get the new system bill....which is now figured to be 1,880 Euro. The local politicians all will stand and say....it's fair, but you sit and wonder....if all of your neighbors are now paying the same thing....this local government is now making SEVEN times the amount of tax revenue as before. Do they even realize this?
3. Netherlands alert. There's been some wolf attacks in wooded areas....involving kids. So there's a national warning out....to avoid wooded trails.
4. German Defense Minister is calling for a military budget near 2-percent of GDP.
