The Suggestion of a Truth-Commission?

This morning, via Focus....columnist Jan Fleischhauer wrote a piece to suggest that Germany needs a 'truth-commission' to figure out how Germany got hooked up to Putin-oil/natural gas, and just how German national security was 'crapped upon' (my words, not his).

I kinda laughed.  No one within the CDU or SPD parties....would agree to this type of truth-commission.

Even if you went to some agreed upon situation....just how far back would you have to go....1980s possibly?  Maybe even the 1970s?

Would various journalists have to admit that they bought bogus 'facts' and wrote heavily about the evils of fossil fuels....so that you were led to the Kremlin front gate?

Would some politicians have to admit that all it took was some mumbo-jumbo chatter from a PhD guy to convince them declare the Russian natural gas the only way of path ahead?

I admit....it might be entertaining but at this point....so deep into a energy crisis, I don't see any benefit to this truth-commission idea.
