N-TV this morning had an amusing little story over politics and pay-back.
In Berlin....along Friedrichstrasse, on the southside of the Spree River....about a five-minute walk from the Bundestag is this pub called 'StäV'.
It's a pub frequented a great deal by politicians from the Bundestag (yes, even Merkel, and Scholz have hung out there).
Well, yesterday.....the pub manager put out the word. While they will obey the November mandate to shut them down...they are finished with leadership of the Bundestag being customers.
Merkel and Scholz on a banned list? Yes.
I'm guessing some 'unknowns' out of the Bundestag can still come in and have a beer, but the rest of the characters are forbidden.
All of this....dues to the political actions over the pub shutdowns.
Maybe it's just me, but I think virtually all pubs, bars and restaurants across Germany should take the same action, and say 'enough'....put the political crowd on a banned list and let them sip beer at home or cook their own meals.
