Another park in Berlin shut down after 8 PM each night?
Yeah....James Simon Park....north side of the river, on the northeast side of town. Triangle-shaped park, by the river. I'd give dimensions of 500 by 500 by 800 ft. Selling point? Well....up to this point, it was by a number of bars, grills, and pubs. Plus you had immediate access to the tram service.
What drove this shutdown? Drinking, partying, and excessive violation of hygiene rules for Covid.
What'll probably happen? The crowd will probably find another city park within 15 minutes walking and settle upon it for drinking, partying and coursing.
All of this leading to confrontations with the police and authorities? Yeah, without any doubt. But the whole situation over Covid ban rules has probably hit its peak in Berlin, and I doubt that that the younger crowd cares for the ban rules.
