I sat and watched N-TV (commercial German news) today.
A key thing they brought up? From all this flood business in western Germany three weeks ago....folks are hyped up that some type of 'alarm-system' needs to be put in place.
The federal government came up today and authorized 88-million Euro to build a siren system.....timeline? Well...2023.
To make up for the time business....the talk is that SMS type messages will be sent out in each community....to your smart-phone.
Course, you will ask....do all Germans have smart-phone? As of last year, the number was up to around 61-million Germans (83-million in population, total).
So, yeah, there is this possibility that in a village of 200 homes....you might have three or four (probably people who are anti-digital or over the age of eighty). The folks who don't pay attention to the charged-up nature? That's another issue by itself.
